At EA’s recent quarterly earnings call they finally put to bed the recently surfacing rumors about Titanfall coming to the new PlayStation 4 in the near future. Chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen stressed that Titanfall "is an exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC." In effect this means that at least until Titanfall 2 (which we are sure they will make eventually) you won’t be able to enjoy this title for Sony’s console.
Jorgensen then went on to squashed worries that Respawn was rushing Titanfall to the market, he announced that the intended release date was always in the March, April, May 2014. We’re not too worried about this, the screenshots look amazing and the E3 trailer looked very impressive even 12 months plus left in development, even if this is slightly accelerated we can’t wait.
"No, we're not doing that at all," COO Peter Moore said on the subject of Titanfall's alleged hurry. He praised Respawn Entertainment's new talent, and he anticipates that it will review "very highly" when it launches in March 2014. He seems very confident that his team will produce a game they can be proud of, and hopefully it will live up to it’s hype.
The team also announced a limited edition version of the game which comes in at an incredible $250, the UK price is yet to be announced but will probably be in the range of around £150. Which might seem like a lot but, it truly will be a limited item in the future.
Elsewhere, EA's bank balance if looking good, it’s business as usual with its total net revenue of $695 million for the quarter 3 with only a slight decrease from $711 million for the same time last year, all round not bad!
